Best Friends on Spring Break

Spring Break started out great for the boys and me. We had two very pretty days followed by 5 very rainy days. We made the most of what we could with what we had.

On Monday, the guys and I headed to Shelby Farms. This is one of their favorite playgrounds in the city! What this break told me most was my boys are best friends. While Evan might show it outwardly more, Luke still needs big brother by his side.

I think they came down the slide like this for over 30 minutes. The smiles on their faces each time got bigger and bigger.

Tuesday, we headed out with some friends to the Memphis Zoo. A baby giraffe was born just a couple days before and we got to 'meet' her! She was so cute!!!

   

On the rainy days we had lot of snuggle time, lots of Red Light Green Light games, and even PJ dance parties!

We ended the week at Get Air. My boys would spend 4 hours or more there is allowed. ;)

Quit Clowin'! JK Circus

Every year the circus comes to JK and this time it was this clown's turn to shine!

This performance was developed out of a Circus unit that happens in JK every February. They were able to take the dramatic play in the classroom and turn it into an adorable performance for the parents to see. It's exactly how they play in the classroom. I love that dramatic play is encouraged with these little ones!!!

Luke got to play one of the magician's assistants. Mrs. Razzle Dazzle had four strong young lads helping her with the magic act. They razzled and dazzle and cut a man in half! These four friends sure did help out their leading lady!

 

As with any Asbell performance, Luke had a large cheering squad there. His grandparents were in attendance to support our little magician!

I am super proud of ALL my JK sweeties for this magnificent performance!
