Holy Week

Holy week is always a busy one around the Asbell house. Maundy Thursday is The Stirring's big Easter service and there is usually a 4+ hour rehearsal the Wednesday before. I, for some stupid reason, chose to host an internet safety talk at our Memphis campus until 7pm the Tuesday before, so my work and volunteer hours were well into the 50+ in just four days.

Easter was filled with family and food just the way I like it. :)

The boys woke up to a Easter Egg hunt provided by the Easter Bunny. I am sorry, but there is nothing cuter than a little one bending down to pick up eggs. Evan was sweet and helped his little brother find the eggs. I was very proud of his helpfulness.

Their baskets were brought at the end of the hunt. Obviously the Easter Bunny was hungry when he put together their baskets. :/ We have more stinking candy in this house than we did at Halloween.

We had a delicious brunch at Grandmom's and Pawpaw Charlie's house, where the Easter Bunny dropped off ANOTHER basket for the boys. We even got to hunt more egg that had change in them. The boys' piggie banks got a nice refill after that visit!

My mom, Jed, Nonna and Pop came over for Easter dinner. This was something we just started this year. The past couple years John has played Easter morning, which only left time for an evening dinner. This year, since John didn't play in the morning, we had plenty of time to spread our day over all our family.
