Before everyone got ready, Uncle Fred and Luke explored animal sounds together. Luke has master animal names and sounds. Usually they have to go together. It's not just a cow. It's a cowmoo or a horseneigh. Dogarf is a particular favorite since we have 2 large loud dogs next door to us. To hear Luke say 'cock-a-doodle-do' is possibly the cutest thing I have ever heard come out of his mouth.
The gazebo has a large Santa chair and a faux fireplace with stockings. Luke wouldn't have anything to do with the chair and Evan said "It's for SANTA!" so would only stand beside it.
Both their favorite parts of the square is the trains. Evan and Luke could spend hours running the length of the trains. They climb and steer and jump and just love being able to play on life size trains.
The tree is decorated, but not lit. There is a big ceremony this week for that. I am not sure we'll make it, but we at least got to enjoy it while we were there this weekend.
We ended our visit with a trip to YoLo's. The boys don't actually eat frozen yogurt. They just get a bowl full of toppings. Yup, my kids are so picky, they don't even like ice cream. Where did I go wrong?
